 - Project Description: CASFER, a National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center, is building a more sustainable future by developing technologies to recycle nitrogen from waste into fertilizer. With a strong focus on research, education and workforce development, CASFER prepares students to lead in the growing nitrogen circular economy through interdisciplinary research, hands-on training, and collaboration across engineering, science, and policy.
 - Evaluation and Research Description: Everett Evaluation is leading a comprehensive evaluation of CASFER that includes data and analysis related to research outputs, advisory board experiences, industry connections, as well as workforce development, student outcomes, and team effectiveness.
 
CISTAR (Center for Innovative and Strategic Transformation of Alkane Resources)

 - Project Description: CISTAR is a National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center focused on transforming natural gas into cleaner fuels and chemicals. As part of its mission, CISTAR invests in developing a well-trained engineering workforce through innovative educational programs for teachers, undergraduates, and high school students, as well as hands-on research experiences that prepare graduate students to lead in the energy sector.
 - Evaluation and Research Description: CISTAR programming takes place across the US with partner institutions, University of Notre Dame, Northwestern University, University of Texas-Austin, and University of New Mexico. Everett Evaluation staff work with liaisons from all partner universities to facilitate evaluation of summer programming events and the graduate student experience.

 - Project Description: The EXCEED project is investing in research translation to solve real-world problems and foster an innovation ecosystem at Binghamton University through competitive research funding, professional development and training, and personnel support for faculty and students.
 - Evaluation and Research Description: Everett Evaluation is the external evaluator for EXCEED and uses a comprehensive data collection strategy to track the impact of EXCEED offerings and the progress and outputs of EXCEED-funded/affiliated research projects.

 - Project Description: The FutureTech Careers ExLENT project at Grand Rapids Community College connects students with hands-on learning in IT and advanced manufacturing. Through a partnership between the Schools of Workforce Development and STEM, the project expands access to emerging tech careers for diverse learners, aiming to build a skilled talent pipeline for in-demand regional industries.
 - Evaluation and Research Description: The evaluation examines how well ExLENT is implemented and its impact on student success. Using a mix of surveys, focus groups, academic data, and more, we provide real-time feedback for improvement and assess overall outcomes.
 
Computer Science for All

 - Project Description: This statewide initiative supports the integration of computer science and data science into Algebra 2 classrooms through the Bootstrap:Data Science curriculum. By training 150 Michigan teachers, the project aims to make math more engaging and relevant for students, while aligning with state standards. With a focus on real-world datasets, the curriculum helps students connect algebraic thinking to the world around them while also broadening access to computing and better preparing students for college and careers.
 - Evaluation and Research Description: Everett Evaluation leads a mixed-methods evaluation, designed to support continuous improvement and measure impact. Our activities include interviews and focus groups with district leaders, surveys and reflections from teachers, and data reviews to assess implementation and outcomes. We also monitor the strength of project partnerships and compare progress against a defined logic model.

 - Project Description: SAIL-On is a project at New York University, funded by the National Science Foundation, that extends the yearlong fifth-grade SAIL science curriculum, which is aligned with national science standards. The project has three primary goals: (1) develop teacher professional development (PD) focused on effective implementation for English learners (ELs), (2) design and validate research instruments to assess the intervention’s impact, and (3) conduct a quasi-experimental study in New York City Public Schools to evaluate outcomes for both teachers and students, including ELs.
 - Evaluation and Research Description: Everett Evaluation leads the data analysis and reporting efforts, utilizing advanced statistical and psychometric techniques such as hierarchical linear modeling (HLM), exploratory factor analysis (EFA), and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) to evaluate the intervention’s effectiveness.

 - Project Description: Cornell University was awarded NSF funding to locate and hire postdoctoral students interested in Discipline-Based Education Research who will conduct interdisciplinary research projects and participate in a suite of professional development to hone their readiness for the field of STEM education. CIDER postdocs will engage with a comprehensive professional development program that includes research mentorship, undergraduate teaching, network development, and career planning activities.
 - Evaluation and Research Description: Everett Evaluation is conducting formative evaluation activities to assess the process and progress of the CIDER initiative as well as summative evaluation to understand the impact of CIDER as experienced by the postdoctoral fellows and research mentors.

 - Project Description: This project engages middle school students in integrated STEM curriculum units that blend scientific inquiry, engineering design, and community-based service projects. Nearly 2,000 students will have the opportunity to investigate locally relevant socio-environmental challenges such as water quality and heat exposure while strengthening their understanding of science and engineering concepts and building their interest, confidence, and agency in STEM.
 - Evaluation and Research Description: Our evaluation plan uses a mixed-methods approach to provide a comprehensive picture of the project’s progress and impact. We assess the development of curriculum units, the effectiveness and implementation of professional development activities, the strength of the research design and data collection, and the achievement of both short- and long-term goals.

 - Project Description: The GRCC ATE grant and the Artificial Intelligence Certification Enhancement Project (AICEP) aims to modernize and expand the college’s existing AI certificate program by developing new courses, integrating employer input, and providing faculty training which are all aimed at equipping students with practical and ethical AI skills needed to succeed in high-demand industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, IT, and construction.
 - Evaluation and Research Description: Everett Evaluation will used a mixed-method approach to determine the impact of the ATE program on students and faculty, including surveys, interviews, and data review.

 - Project Description: The EAGLES Program at Auburn University is a federally approved comprehensive transition program that serves university students with intellectual disabilities through tailored supports. The ENGAGE project works to expand the program to provide wrap around services that support students before, during, and after their time in the EAGLES program at Auburn.
 - Evaluation and Research Description: Everett Evaluation is the external evaluator for the project. Through student-outcome data, Government Performance and Results Act data, surveys, and interviews, we track the impact of the ENGAGE project on students in addition to their persistence toward graduation and employment attainment.

 - Project Description: The Strengthening Community Colleges grant at GRCC will expand training opportunities in computer information systems and data science through development of new academic and noncredit programs, updating curriculum and equipment, and providing tuition support to students pursuing careers in technology and manufacturing. It also aims to strengthen the local workforce by preparing graduates with in-demand skills in data analytics, networking, and related fields.
 - Evaluation and Research Description: Everett Evaluation will act as the liaison between GRCC and the DOL-appointed national SCC4 evaluator, providing regular reports and data to the national evaluator.
 
Teaching Information Literacy

 - Project Description: The New Jersey State Library (NJSL), supported by an IMLS National Leadership Grant, launched an initiative to integrate information literacy into the K–12 curriculum. The project focuses on developing a scalable and replicable model to benefit both students and library professionals. Our evaluation assessed alignment with project goals, addressed stakeholder needs, and identified measurable outcomes.
 - Evaluation and Research Description: We facilitated a theory of change process with multiple stakeholder groups to build consensus and map out the project’s intended efforts and impact. Data collection methods included surveys, interviews, and focus groups.

MiSTEM: Collaboratives

 - Project Description:To advance Michigan’s statewide K-12 STEM education, the state of Michigan funds MiSTEM, a statewide network of educators, ISDs, universities, and industry. Within that Network, three collaboratives work to elevate education in 1) mathematics, 2) science and engineering literacy, and 3) computer science through integration of innovative 3P (Project-, Problem-, and Place-Based) instruction in STEM education.
 - Evaluation and Research Description:The evaluation assesses the extent to which the MiSTEM: Collaboratives’ activities have contributed to advancing the goals of the statewide STEM strategy as part of the broader MiSTEM Network, including building partnerships, providing teacher professional development across Michigan, and developing student services.

 - Project Description:The Florida Center for Students with Unique Abilities leads the implementation and accountability efforts of the Florida Postsecondary Comprehensive Transition Program (FPCTP) Act. The Center supports institutions across the state in developing inclusive postsecondary programs for students with intellectual disabilities. A key aspect of this work involves facilitating strategic planning with both approved and interested programs to promote continuous improvement and long-term sustainability.
 - Evaluation and Research Description: We provide evaluation and research consultation to support the Center’s efforts in program improvement, strategic planning, and the dissemination of its statewide leadership in inclusive postsecondary education.

 - Project Description: This evaluation aims to determine the impacts of LLN and provide guidance for enhancing its implementation. The model uses a process based on four components (Asset-based Needs Assessment, Leadership Coaching, Inquiry-based Professional Learning, and Implementation Support and Monitoring) rooted in a deep understanding of literacy and a systems approach to capacity building, coherence, and change.
 - Evaluation and Research Description: The purpose of the evaluation is to identify impacts of LLN, and to improve the implementation of LLN. This was accomplished through: Developing a comprehensive data collection plan, assessing the implementation of LLN in selected schools, and examining changes in literacy coaching and leadership practices in selected schools.
